(हिन्दी)आपातकाल संवैधानिक प्रावधान है जो असाधारण परिस्थितियों में राष्ट्रपति को अतिरिक्त शक्तियाँ ग्रहण करने देता है। भारतीय संविधान में तीन प्रकार के आपातकाल हैं: राष्ट्रीय आपातकाल (अनुच्छेद 352), राज्य आपातकाल (अनुच्छेद 356) और वित्तीय आपातकाल (अनुच्छेद 360)।
English Definition
A constitutional provision allowing the President to assume greater powers during extraordinary situations. The Indian Constitution provides for three types: National Emergency (Article 352), State Emergency (Article 356, President's Rule), and Financial Emergency (Article 360).
