Skyroot — Hyderabad to Space, India's First Private Rocket

**June 2018, Hyderabad**. Two friends Pawan Chandana (IIT Kharagpur, ISRO ex-employee) and Naga Bharath Daka (IIT Madras) sit in a small T-Hub office. They have an audacious dream: build India's first private rocket. Up to that point, only ISRO launched rockets in India. Critics laughed: "Private rocket? In India? You'll never get permission." **Beginnings** Pawan: Born small village near Hyderabad; tomato farmer's son like Krishna Ella. Got into IIT Kharagpur 2008. Aerospace engineering. ISRO 2014-17 — worked on PSLV rocket family.
