Sourced from Inner Mongolia (China, 70%), Mongolia (20%), Ladakh (Pashmina). 200–400 g usable down per goat per year. 2-ply 2/28 Nm at US$80–160/kg. SFA (Sustainable Fiber Alliance) audit common.

Tailor & Garment-Worker View

Delicate — use 70/10 microtex needle, silk thread. Always hand-block with iron hovering above fabric.

Combed, not shorn, in spring moulting. Dehaired to remove coarse guard hair.
