Diversity Equity and Inclusion

USUK

Organizational initiatives to ensure fair representation and belonging for all employees.

Also: DEI · D&I · EDI · DEIB

Definition

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) is an organizational framework that recognizes diversity (the presence of differences), equity (fair treatment and access, acknowledging systemic barriers), and inclusion (creating belonging for all). DEI initiatives typically include representation goals, pay equity audits, bias training, inclusive hiring practices, employee resource groups, and accessible work environments. Effective DEI strategies are embedded into business processes rather than treated as standalone programs.

Example

The company published its first DEI Annual Report, disclosing representation data by gender and ethnicity across all levels, a 3% gender pay gap, and the actions being taken to close it.
