Magical realism (García Márquez, 'One Hundred Years of Solitude'), the Latin American Boom (Cortázar, Fuentes, Vargas Llosa, Donoso) transformed world literature. Five Spanish-language Latin American writers have won the Nobel Prize for Literature.
