The fundamental law of a state. Sweden uniquely has four constitutional laws: the Instrument of Government (Regeringsformen, 1974), the Freedom of the Press Act (1766 — the world's oldest freedom of press law), the Fundamental Law on Freedom of Expression (1991), and the Act of Succession. Sweden's 1766 Freedom of Press Act — over 250 years old — is the world's first freedom of information legislation.
