A system of communication used by a community. Turkish is an Altaic language with a highly systematic agglutinative grammar. Atatürk implemented the Language Revolution (Dil Devrimi) in 1928, replacing Arabic script with Latin alphabet and purging Arabic/Persian loanwords to create a more 'purely Turkish' language.
