Definition
The action of helping or doing work for someone. In Islamic ethics, khidmat (service to humanity) is considered an act of worship. Many Urdu literary figures championed the service of the poor and marginalized in their poetry and prose.

“خدمت خلق اللہ کی سب سے بڑی عبادت ہے۔”
In English: “Service to humanity is the greatest worship of God.”
