Transliteration: Baha-ankelu kalapetappudu gunapu sthāna gurthu pettukondi: onakotki vāyidē (units), padi (tens), vanda (hundreds). Udāhāraṇa: 487 + 356. Column paddatilo modata vāyidē sthāna ni kalipi, taruvāta padi, tarvata vandalu; avasaramaithe carry (kyaari)nu doshapūrvakanga mundu sthāyiki tīsukellandi. Meaning: For multi-digit addition, align units, tens, hundreds and add column by column, carrying to the next column when needed. You too can do this!
3. తీసివేత: ఒంటరి అంకెలు మరియు బారో — Subtraction & Borrow
తెలుగు: 9 - 6 వంటి ఒంటరి తీసివేత మొదట. బహుఅంకెలు తీసివేతలో, ఒక స్థానంలో దిగుమతి (if minuend digit is smaller) ఉంటే `borrow (బారో)` తీస్తారు. ఉదాహరణ: 402 - 179. వాయిదే స్థానంలో 2 నుండి 9 తీసలేం, కాబట్టి పది స్థానంలో నుండి borrow చేసి 12 - 9 = 3 చేస్తాం; తదుపరి స్థానాలలో సరైనగా తగ్గింపులు చేయాలి. Transliteration: 9 - 6 lanti ontari theesiveta modata. Baha-ankelu theesivetalo, oka sthānalo digumati (if minuend digit is smaller) untē borrow (baaro) theestaru. Udāhāraṇa: 402 - 179. Vāyidē sthānalo 2 nundi 9 theesalēm, kābāt padi sthānalo nundi borrow chesi 12 - 9 = 3 chestām; tadupathi sthānālalo sarigā tagginpulu cheyāli. Meaning: Start with simple single-digit subtraction.
