Definition

Training Needs Analysis (TNA) is a systematic process of identifying the gap between an organization's required performance standards and the actual performance of its employees in order to determine what training interventions are needed. It involves assessing individual, departmental, and organizational skill gaps through surveys, performance data, manager feedback, and job analysis. The outcome of a TNA drives the design and prioritization of learning programs.
