HR analytics, also known as people analytics or workforce analytics, is the application of data collection, analysis, and interpretation to HR processes and decisions. It ranges from descriptive analytics (reporting on current metrics like headcount and attrition) to predictive analytics (forecasting future trends like flight risk) and prescriptive analytics (recommending actions). Organizations use HR analytics to improve talent acquisition, retention, engagement, and workforce productivity.
