The long-term pattern of weather in a region. Sweden has a varied climate — subarctic in the north (Norrland), temperate in the south. Climate activism has been Sweden's global contribution through Greta Thunberg's Fridays for Future movement (started 2018). Sweden was the first country to introduce a carbon tax (1991, 130 USD/tonne CO₂ — world's highest). Sweden aims to be climate-neutral by 2045.
